Plein Air Immersion Workshop with Dawn Whitelaw

Portraits, Inc., and the Beverly McNeil Gallery will be offering this new workshop March 26-29, 2017:


Dawn Whitelaw maintains a studio in Franklin, Tennessee, and is on the faculty of the Peninsula School of Art and the Portrait Society of America, where she holds the office of Vice Chairman.  She was a featured instructor for the National Plein Air Conventions in Nevada and California.  Whitelaw teaches throughout the country by conducting workshops in oil painting principles.  In 2014 and 2015, she received six awards in national plein air events.  In 2012 and 2013, Plein Air Magazine featured her work. 

Whitelaw has work in the permanent collection of the Rahr-West Art Museum.  In 2016, she served as a judge for the Plein Air Cedarburg Event, the Southern Appalachian Artist Guild, the 25th Annual Scholastic Art Competititon for Cheekwood, and the International Portrait Competition for the Portrait Society of America.  Last year, she was elected to Master status in the American Impressionist Society and won the Fine Art Connoisseur Award of Excellence in the 2016 National AIS Juried Exhibition.

A deposit of $200 wil be required to secure a spot.
Final payment will be due by Friday, March 17th.

Open to all artists
Minimum class size: 12
Maximum class size: 16

Payments are refundable up to 30 days prior to the workshop.
