Portraits, Inc. at the Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville

This week, Portraits, Inc. Executive Partner, Beverly McNeil, and President and COO, John McNeil, helped longtime Nashville associate Mary Daugherty Overstreet with the Antiques and Garden Show of Nashville in Tennessee.

Celebrating its 23rd year, the event was held February 8-10, 2013 at the Nashville Convention Center. It’s the largest show in the country that combines gardens and antiques.

This was Portraits, Inc.'s first time participating in the show.  Together, Beverly, John, and Mary set up an exhibit filled with beautiful portraits and sculpture by Portraits, Inc. artists, as well as antique English paintings and portraits.   We were honored to be in the company of extraordinary antique and horticultural dealers, magnificent gardens, world-renowned lecturers and more.

Mary is a 3rd-generation Nashvillian and graduated from Vanderbilt University.  In addition to her numerous family clients, she has helped Vanderbilt acquire an impressive collection of portraits honoring past presidents, deans, and other benefactors.

This year, the show honored the late Albert Hadley (1921-2012). Inspired by Hadley's vision and influence on the design world, the show reflected a traditional sense of sophistication with a modern flair.

It was a great event, and we’re already looking forward to next year!
