White House Unveilings of Official Bush Portraits

Portraits, Inc., artist John Howard Sanden painted the offical portraits of George W. Bush, the 43rd President, and former First Lady Laura Bush.  The portraits were unveiled at the White House on May 31st, 2012, at an unveiling ceremony hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

President Bush is depicted in the Oval Office in front of one of his favorite paintings, W.H.D. Koerner's "A Charge to Keep," which Bush used as the title for his 1999 memoir.  Mrs. Bush's portrait is set in the Green Room, which she helped to refurbish in 2007.  The portraits will hang at the White House and will be part of its collection of official portraits.

Portraits, Inc., has been proud to represent John Howard Sanden, one of the nation's foremost portrait artists, for more than 50 years.
